Hello friends! Thank you for stopping by to read our FIRST BLOG EVER! We are so thrilled to actually start sharing with you all of our fun projects, ideas and DIY's.
This past Saturday we had the opportunity to design and coordinate my beautiful sister in law's babyshower and it sure was one for the books.
Here are all the details:
When my sister in law shared with me her vision of a whimsical/woodsy baby shower, I knew exactly what we were going to do to make her dream happen.
We wanted to change it up a little bit when it came to the gift table, so instead of a table, Alex created a Teepee with some 1x10 wood sticks and white sheer curtains. A Magnolia leaf garland adorned it just perfectly.
Table Set Up:
The tables were a combination of whites, greenery, candles, wood chargers and wine glasses. Fun fact: The wood chargers were a labor of work from my oh so talented husband. He traced, cut, sanded, and stained them to perfection (Btw, they are part of our rental inventory 😊 )
For the menus we created something that would go with the theme. Party favors were homemade granola cookies made by my mom. If you've had her granola, you know they were AMAZING!
This one definitely stole the show! Our #2ftMarqueeLetters spelled out the name "BENJI" which is short for Benjamin and were hung in our wood backdrop which gave that rustic feeling we were thriving for. It sure was the PERFECT photobooth and everybody took the dreamiest pictures.
The cake was just what mommy to be craves: think chocolate cake meets nutella & tres leches! Yum! The strawberry mostachón cupcakes were a first try making them in our household and they were a hit! And the woodland animals sugar cookies were the perfect touch to the table.
Onesie Decoration Station:
This area was surely Pinterest Inspired! There's nothing better than having an activity for your guest when they arrive while you wait for everybody to get there and officially start the party!
Iced Coffee Bar & Drink Station:
Yup! I will probably offer this "bar" at all of my upcoming events! It literally was refreshing and to be honest, Starbucks had nothing on them! vanilla and caramel syrups were the flavors to choose from and whip cream & caramel sauce were there to garnish the drinks.
There was something for everybody, we had peach tea, moscato wine and bottled waters for guest to choose from.
Being an outdoor event, we wanted to keep it fresh and cold for the guests when it came to food, so automatically we decided to do mini subs, chicken salad croissants, green salad (which I will be posting another blog about it because it simply deserves it!) and fresh fruit.
Decor: Again, Alex brought my idea to life when I told him I wanted a sandwhich stand, so of course he built them for me! :)
When it comes to games, I like to keep them as fun and interactive as possible! Here are some of the games we played:
- Baby Face
- Baby Trivia
- Guess the Age
- Drink the Bottle
- Guess Mommy's Belly
I would say this was my favorite part of the entire shower! We had the opportunity to bless Benji's upcoming arrival with a powerful prayer.
Mommy to be got to open and show Baby Benji's gifts to everybody:
We are ready and excited to meet you Benji, you are oh, SO LOVED!
