Have you ever met a couple who radiate LOVE when they are together? That have the sweetest souls ever? Well for me, that couple is Javier & Ingrid! I met them at the end of last year when they were seeking for help to plan their wedding shower! Ingrid wanted something not too girly since it was going to be a Coed shower and she wanted to incoorporate the Vintage/Rustic feeling into it. That's where the "Around the World" theme was born! We were so honored to have planned/designed, set up & coordinated this event!
Sign in Table
Guests were greeted with our 3x2 Chalk sign, along with a beautiful Vintage Jux Box that played music throughout the evening! The Globe sign in was the perfect set up to set the theme. A vintage suite case for cards and a glass jar with wooden hearts to write sweet notes to the couple were also part of this table!
We used our 6ft Wood Backdrop to hang the J & I 2ft marquee letters. A Semi-Naked cake was ordered from Nissi Cake (BEST HOMEMADE TASTE CAKES EVER!!) My girl @Sweetsbydaisy did wonders with the desserts! The Vintage Travel theme cookies and cake pops were super cute and of course, delicious! She also did some yummy chocolate covered pretzels! Since we were having a Hot chocolate bar, Ingrid also wanted to incorporate some Pan Dulce!(Sweet bread) so Conchas and Dounuts were also on the treats menu!
Nothing screams "VINTAGE" more than some old books, postcards & mason jars! And these were exactly the components for the centerpieces. We stacked old books, added some mason jars with fresh white hydrangeas, post cards from all over the world, chalk destination signs and candles! Tip: Ingrid found the old books in a thrift store! Our wood chargers also were part of the table decor, along with custom-made menus.
Ingrid wanted to send away all her guests with something sweet, so she had mini pies as party favors for everyone!
Javier and Ingrid opted to have their food catered! So they chose Antonio's Italian Grill for their dinner! It consisted of: Fresh Salad, Lasagna, Chicken Parm w/ Spaghetti & Garlic bread! Peach tea and sodas were offered as drinks. Such a yummy and inexpensive idea!
Hot Chocolate Bar
This Bar has been a favorite since we launched it as part of our inventory! It definately makes the event unique and something to look foward during the event! The guests even had the option to "spike" it a little bit with some Kahlua! :)
I came up with a few games to play during through out the evening! To say that the guests and Javier & Ingrid had fun is an understatement! We played the "Shoe Game" with Ingrid & Javier! The scored 99.9% correct on the answer ;)
The Price is Right- Wedding Shower Edition- This one always is a super fun to play!
Feel the Hands- Blind-folded Ingrid had to guess which all of the guys were Javier's hands! This was a super funny game!
Say YASSS to the dress- Groomsmen Edition- Javier chose three if his friends to be the "models" for a wedding dress! & Bridesmaids were the designers! There was a fashion show to demonstrate the dress at the end! Hilarious!
Our Vintage doors were the PERFECT fit for this party as a photobooth! The Fujifilm camera took some sweet pictures!
We believe that lighting makes THE difference in every single party! So that's why we always try to incoorporate our string lights into the events we do! Even if its an indoor event! They transform the entire room and set the mood for the night! :)
Thank you Ingrid & Javier for making us part of such a special event! We enjoyed it ALL!
This special balloon was ordered from our friends @Bon_Appetit_houston!
